The
International Network
for Sustainable Energy
INFORSE-Europe
was partner in
a EuropeAid
- NGO Cooperation Project in the Balkan in 2010-11.
The Project was coordinated
by Zelena Akcija / FoE Croatia.
INFORSE-Europe was one of the partners. Other partners were: GLOBAL
2000 in Austria, Center for Environment in Bosnia Herzegovina,
Front 21/42 in Macedonia.
The
project's offivial title was “Networking
and Capacity Building of environmental NGOs to Increase Energy Efficiency
and Renewable
Sources of Energy in
Western
Balkans”
As part of the project a network was founded called SEENET -
"South East Europe Network
on Energy and Transport".
The Project was financed by EuropeAid,
IPA 2008 Programme - Civil Society Facility:
Support to Partnership Actions "Environment, Energy Efficiency,
and Health and Safety at Work"
In the framework of the Project, Emil Bedi
and Gunnar Boye Olesen represented INFORSE-Europe and participated
in the following conferences and seminars:
· 2nd Regional SEENET Conference
on Sustainable Energy: “SEE Sustainable Energy Regional Networking”,
in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, November 25- 26, 2011.
· SEENET Preparatory Meeting in Zagreb, November 3-4, 2011.
- South Eastern Europe Regional NGO training “Young activists
for sustainable future” was held from in the Solar Academy
at Island of Šolta, near Split, in Croatia, July 11 - 22,
2001.
· South Eastern Europe Regional
Seminar on Sustainable Energy and Transport “Sustainable Energy
Potentials in the Region” in the Island of Šolta, Croatia,
July 4-8, 2011.
·
Regional and local training for young leaders and activists on sustainable
energy and public advocacy in the island of Solta,
Croatia, June 28 - July 7, 2010.
· 1st South Eastern Europe Regional conference of NGOs working
on sustainable energy in Skopje, April 9.-11, 2010. This is the event
on which the network SEENET was founded. The SEE.NET members
are: Zelena akcija - FoE in Croatia, Front
21/42 in Macedonia, Center for Environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Eco-sense in Macedonia, Young Researchers of Serbia Center for Ecology
and Sustainable Development
(CEKOR) in Serbia, Green Home in Montenegro.
