In 2006, INFORSE-Europe held a seminar, in cooperation with Green Action Zagreb, at the new “Solar Academy” that is under development on the island of Solta in the Adriatic sea near the Croatian town of Split.

 

The 25 participants:
• discussed political developments and strategies for sustainable energy in Europe and the world.
• built 2 solar collectors and several models for renewable energy for education and exhibitions.

Solta06 group The 25 participants from south-east Europe like Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, as well as Ukraine, Lithuania, Israel, Germany, Denmark.
The EU Energy Policy and South-East Europe Regional Energy Market (SEEREM) was high on the agenda at the Seminar.


Two solar thermal collectors were built by the participants. Now the collectors provide hot water to the showers at the Solar Academy on the island of Solta.
